IvyCap Ventures helps Alimento Agro Foods raise Rs 50 crore
FMCG company Alimento Agro Foods Pvt Ltd, the parent company of ready-to-eat food brand Meal of the Moment (MOM) and Korean food brand Gimi Gimi, has raised Rs 50 crore (about $5.5 million) from IvyCap Ventures. In addition, the company has invested Rs 2 crore from its own resources.
The fresh funds will be used to expand manufacturing capacity, strengthen nationwide distribution, and speed up product innovation for both brands. The company aims to scale operations to meet rising demand for convenient and international food options in India.
Founded in early 2017 by Prateek Bhagchandka, cofounder and CEO, and Mugdha Bhagchandka, COO, Alimento Agro Foods is receiving venture capital funding for the first time.
Under the MOM brand, the company offers ready-to-eat meals for breakfast, lunch, and snacks, while Gimi Gimi focuses on a wide range of Korean-style noodles. The products are available through ecommerce platforms, quick-commerce apps, and direct-to-consumer (D2C) websites.
Commenting on the investment, IvyCap Ventures said the brands combine strong consumer insight, product innovation, and cultural relevance, helping them stand out in India’s fast-growing packaged food market.
