ETtech Deals Digest: This week, startups raised $139 million, a 59% decrease from the previous year
Indian startups raised around $139.1 million in funding between March 7 and 13, marking a sharp 59% decline compared with the $339 million raised during the same period last year, according to data from Tracxn.
The amount raised this week was also about 11.5% lower than the $157.3 million secured in the previous week of this year. Deal activity slowed significantly as well, with only 21 transactions recorded during the week, compared with 51 deals in the corresponding period last year.
Among the largest deals during the week, enterprise technology startup Mozark raised $40 million in a funding round led by International Finance Corporation and RMB Capitalworks, with participation from existing investor Kalaari Capital.
Health and wellness startup Mosaic Wellness secured around $21.7 million in primary capital from alternative asset manager 360 ONE Asset.
Another notable deal came from Nurix AI, an AI venture founded by Mukesh Bansal. The company raised about $14.7 million from investors including Prosus and General Catalyst, among others.
