Wipro extends its agreement with Google Cloud to implement Gemini AI throughout operations

IT services company Wipro has announced an expansion of its strategic partnership with Google Cloud to deploy Gemini Enterprise, Google Cloud’s advanced agentic AI platform, across Wipro’s global operations and offer AI agents to enterprise clients.

Wipro will use Gemini Enterprise in key internal functions such as finance, human resources, sales, delivery, and customer support. The aim is to speed up decision-making, improve efficiency, and enhance employee experience. The company said this move is part of its Client Zero strategy, where Wipro first tests AI solutions within its own operations before offering them to customers through its Wipro Intelligence platform.

Wipro COO Sanjeev Jain said the large-scale deployment will strengthen its partnership with Google Cloud and help shape the future of work through responsible AI adoption, driving growth and innovation for both Wipro and its clients.

In addition to internal use, Wipro will combine its consulting expertise with the Wipro Intelligence suite to help customers move from small AI pilot projects to secure, scalable, production-ready AI solutions.

As part of the partnership, Google Cloud’s Gemini Experience Zone has been launched at Wipro’s Partner Labs in Bengaluru. The facility showcases over 200 ready-to-use AI agents for industries such as healthcare, banking, insurance, retail, telecom, and manufacturing, allowing customers to explore and test AI solutions.

Wipro has also launched a Microsoft Innovation Hub at the same campus under a new three-year partnership. Together, Wipro and Microsoft will develop industry-specific AI solutions for sectors including financial services, retail, manufacturing, healthcare, life sciences, and airports.
