TCS Adds AI Upgrade to Its BaNCS Banking Platform

India’s largest IT services company, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), on Friday announced a new artificial intelligence (AI) upgrade to its popular banking platform, TCS BaNCS.

The new upgrade, called “TCS BaNCS AI Compass,” combines machine learning, deep learning, Generative AI, and pre-built AI agents. It is designed to help banks and securities firms adopt responsible and safe AI practices while improving their operations.

According to TCS, the AI Compass will make it easier for financial institutions to use advanced AI tools in areas such as decision-making, automation, and customer services.

The announcement comes shortly after TCS said it has reached $1.5 billion in annualised AI revenue, highlighting the company’s growing focus on AI-led services. TCS aims to become the world’s largest AI-driven technology services company.
