Greentech, a deeptech startup, raises Rs 30 crore from Transition VC

Greentech Megawatt Raises ₹30 Crore in First Funding Round to Scale AI-Driven Wind O&M

Coimbatore-based wind turbine operations and maintenance (O&M) company Greentech Megawatt has raised ₹30 crore in its first external funding round from Transition VC. Founded in 2018 by Daniel Raj, the company was bootstrapped until now and chose to raise capital after integrating artificial intelligence (AI) into its core offerings.

Greentech Megawatt manages OEM-agnostic, multi-brand wind assets and provides end-to-end O&M services, including predictive maintenance, data analytics, SCADA modernisation, component repairs and crane-less major component exchanges. Its global control centre in Coimbatore oversees operations supported by a supply chain of over 100 suppliers, 20 repair loops, multiple component partners and an inventory of around 6,000 components.

The fresh capital will be used to expand infrastructure and accelerate upgrades to the company’s AI and machine learning-based predictive maintenance platforms, SCADA analytics systems and business development across India and international wind markets. Greentech also plans to scale its AI-driven predictive technologies and upgrade repair facilities into specialised hubs for mechanical, electrical, generator, gearbox and electronics work.

The company expects these initiatives to help drive multiple-fold revenue growth over the next two years.

“As a one-stop solution for wind asset management, our focus is to maximise generation, protect asset integrity, improve reliability and deliver sustained value for asset owners,” said founder Daniel Raj. “As the renewable energy sector continues to expand, we are strengthening our capabilities and broadening our operational footprint to support the clean energy transition.”

Greentech Megawatt uses AI and machine learning engines for real-time anomaly detection, failure forecasting, blade health monitoring and remote performance tracking across turbine fleets. These tools enable a shift from time-based to condition-based maintenance, reducing downtime and lowering lifecycle costs for asset owners.

The company currently serves wind projects across major Indian states such as Karnataka and Madhya Pradesh, and international markets including Vietnam and Sri Lanka. It plans to expand further into Southeast Asia and the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) regions. Greentech also operates advanced blade inspection technologies alongside its AI stack to enhance turbine reliability.
