For an AI-led makeover, LTIMindtree secures a Rs 3,000 crore CBDT deal

LTIMindtree Wins Rs 3,000 Crore AI Contract From CBDT

LTIMindtree, India’s sixth-largest IT services provider, has secured a Rs 3,000 crore, seven-year contract from the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) to modernise its analytics platform using artificial intelligence, the company said in a statement on Friday.

The deal marks another major win for the Mumbai-headquartered firm and follows its largest-ever contract announced in October last year, a $580 million agreement with a leading global media and entertainment company. In May 2025, LTIMindtree had also bagged a $450 million multi-year contract from US-based agribusiness major Archer-Daniels-Midland Company.

Following the announcement, shares of LTIMindtree rose nearly 5% to Rs 6,337 around noon on Friday on the BSE. The disclosure was made during market hours.

The company is expected to share further details about the CBDT project during its earnings call for the December quarter results of FY26, scheduled for Monday, January 19.

The recent surge in large deal wins is expected to support LTIMindtree’s growth momentum. Brokerages estimate the company’s revenues to grow between 2.2% and 2.4% sequentially in the December quarter.

In the previous quarter, LTIMindtree reported a 12% year-on-year increase in net profit to Rs 1,401 crore, while revenues rose 10% to Rs 10,394 crore, exceeding market expectations.
