Claude down: Users worldwide are impacted by the second outage in a 24-hour period

Anthropic’s AI chatbot Claude is facing another outage, marking the second disruption in less than 24 hours.

The first outage on March 2 lasted from around 5 pm to 8 pm across several regions. The latest disruption began again on Tuesday morning, with users reporting widespread access issues.

According to outage monitoring platform Downdetector, more than 4,000 users in the United States had reported problems as of 9:35 am. Around 40% flagged issues with Claude chat, 34% reported problems with the app, and about 15% cited difficulties with the website.

In India, over 300 users reported issues during the same period. Of those, 71% said they were facing problems with Claude chat, 15% with the app, and 14% with the website. During the earlier outage, more than 1,000 users in India had reported disruptions.

On its official status page, Claude acknowledged the ongoing issue and said the company is investigating the disruption.
