Wistron Chairman Says AI Is Not a Bubble, Sees Strong Order Growth Through 2027

Artificial intelligence is not a bubble, and AI-related order growth in 2026 will surpass last year’s levels, according to Simon Lin, chairman of Taiwanese electronics manufacturer Wistron.

“We believe AI really does help all industries, so I don’t think it’s a bubble. I think it will mark a new era. A new AI era is arriving,” Lin told reporters in Taipei.

Lin said Wistron’s order pipeline remains strong through 2027, adding that growth this year will be “significant” compared with the previous year.

Wistron, a key supplier to Nvidia, is preparing its new U.S. manufacturing facilities to support rising AI server demand. The company said last year that its Nvidia-focused plants would be operational in 2026, while talks are ongoing with additional customers.

CEO Jeff Lin confirmed that volume production will begin in the first half of this year.

Part of the facilities will be used by Nvidia to support its ambitious plan to build AI servers worth up to $500 billion in the United States over the next four years.

Earlier, Nvidia announced plans to establish supercomputer manufacturing plants in Texas, partnering with Foxconn in Houston and Wistron in Dallas, strengthening the U.S. AI hardware supply chain.
